Yesterday marked Baker's first day back to preschool (2 year old class) and Forrest's 4-week birthday. Baker was so excited about school that he was dancing on the front porch in the morning. Apparently his teacher, Mrs. Perkins, is his "new best friend," and she has "cool trucks." The day was marred slightly by a little accident (the teacher said he was a little too busy to go and then when he saw other kids heading to the bathroom, the power of suggestion was a little too much for him) but it was a great day otherwise.
Forrest is 4 weeks old! We cannot believe that much time as passed. He continues to be a great baby. I decided to put him to bed in his own room upstairs to sleep and he's done great although now I watch the monitor all night to make sure he's doing okay. He's only waking up once during the night so no complaints there.
I am on the countdown until I start seeing clients again. My goal was to stay out totally until the first week of October but I am getting emails from people wanting appointments sooner and I am caving. Maybe because I am ready for a routine and income, but also because I am a sucker. I'll learn to say no one day...
