Seems like I took a picture of Baker at least once every day when he wa an infant. So cliche, but so true that the second child gets slighted in that category. I am thankful for the phone camera or he'd have even fewer pictures! (Even though those pictures are pretty poor quality).
Another week has passed. Forrest is sleeping through the night now, or almost. We put Baker to bed about 8 then I feed Forrest and put him down about 9. He has been sleeping until 4 or 5 every night for about a week now (I know...don't hate me). Seems like that was about the age Baker started sleeping 7-8 hour stretches too. It's not only their sleep habits that are similar - it's amazing how little expressions, sounds, smells, and schedules are identical. Sometimes I look at Forrest while he's sleeping or nursing and I flash back to three years ago doing the same with Baker. It's truly wild. And cool. I am not sure that either one of the boys would be thrilled to understand that Mommy is comparing them already but it is what it is.
Running...I have just been adding a little more each week. Each week, I have 2 or 3 solo runs, a couple of runs just with Forrest in the stroller while Baker is at preschool, a double jogger run (or should I say "run," seeing as I am just shuffling with that beast of a stroller), and a walk in there one day with a friend. I am trying to go to Body Pump on Sunday afternoons to keep up my hard-earned strength from my pregnancy. It's fun watching my pace get faster each week and finally have hit some sub-9 minute averages. Slow going, but I am determined to prevent injury this time around. Most of my clothes are fitting again, a little slower than with Baker. Eh, it'll come.
I am going to start seeing clients again on Monday and just add a few more each week. I am hoping that working from home will be a nice change (will certainly be more convenient and save us a big chunk of money each month!). This break was VERY refreshing and I am looking forward to putting that professional hat back on.
Happy Fall!
